IT STARTED WITH STREETWEAR.
I've always been obsessed with streetwear, not because of trends, but because of what it lets me do.
Fewer rules. More room to question, cut things up, put them back together, mix what shouldn't belong together and see where it lands. The more I studied fashion and worked across different studios, the more I realised that streetwear didn't feel like a category to me. It felt like a space. A space where weird ideas, experiments and things that don't quite fit anywhere else can exist together.
WHAT WE DO
We experiment.
We question familiar silhouettes, play with unexpected combinations and explore what clothing can become when you stop worrying about where it is supposed to belong.
Structured. Messy. Oversized. Reconstructed. Playful. Uncomfortable.
Sometimes one of these.
Sometimes all of them.
WHY GOVINDU
GOVINDU came from wanting a space where those ideas could exist. For the pieces that are too strange to leave alone. For silhouettes that don't know which category they belong to. For experiments that might work and the ones that might completely fail.
We're not here to tell you what streetwear should be. We're figuring that out too.
And that's the fun of it.
